You are three years old today, and saying that makes me feel like these years have flown by faster than I could have ever fathomed. I can barely recall lief without you in it. You make the world a better place every day with your hilarious sense of humor, loud and crazy energy, goofy deep laugh, and bouncy blonde curls.
Some of your favorite things these days are dress up, make up, and doing hair. Do we see a theme here? You are a girly girl, through and through. You love to chase me with a brush and beg to do my "wong hair" all day. When I sit down to do it, you introduce yourself and talk to me like we are at a beauty shop. When you do your makeup or someone else's, you get the most serious look on your face and pout your sweet pink lips. Your becoming more and more like your big sister in changing outfits 10 times a day, and wearing dress up clothes puts quite the grin on your face. Hey, if it makes you happy, I'm on board.
You also love drawing, stickers and painting and anything artsy, Barbies, making playdough clothes for them, cooking, sampling, and making a huge mess, forts, snuggles, "merbaids", books and being read to, dancing and singing, playing with your little princesses, riding your scooter, baths, playing school and playing "mommy". Other kids make you light up. You are a little social butterfly and light up a room with your smile and the way you want to play with everyone. Your grandparents light up your world, as does your sister. You also love to sing "All My Wovin" every night with mommy. We giggle together and snuggle as we sing, and it is my fav part of the day.
You have loved spending your days with Mimi, Makayla, Ty and Nathan, your BFF. You are Nathan are best buds and play together all day long. The two of you tackle one another most mornings and smile so huge when you see one another. You also fight like siblings.... but that is to be expected. Auntie Leesh and I not-so-secretly hope you two end up getting married. :)
Now that you are three, you have a big girl bed and you are potty trained. It is so amazing to see how far you have come and how much you've learned in your three short years on this planet. We are so proud of you for all your accomplishments so far!
In just two months, your life is about to change, as you become a big sister and we welcome our newest little love into our family. Although I am pretty sure you have no idea what you are in for, you sure get excited sometimes! You love to kiss my belly and talk to the baby, and you often tell us that you have a baby in your belly, too. You are a very nurturing little girl in many ways, so I can already see you being a wonderful big sister to this very lucky little girl. I can't wait to see you hold her for the first time!!!!
Sweet girl, no mater what happens, Mommy and Daddy will always be there for you and will love you through it all. Being your mom is one of my life's greatest joys. Thank you for the gift of watching you grow into a little girl. So far, you are turning out pretty incredible.
