Leah has been eating "solids" for a little over a week now. My baby food maker has been burning up! We started with sweet potatoes. which were a bit hit. She really liked it and took to it much, much better than her icky rice cereal. Next, we tried avocado, one of the most well tolerated and nutritious foods you can offer a baby! She absolutely FREAKED over it and has every time since. She flails her arms around, opens her mouth, and begs for more avocado! Yesterday, she got her first bananas, too.
I highly recommend the Beaba Baby Babycook to make home made food. It is amazing, and makes it so easy. You just steam or bake the food, put it in the Babycook, buzz away for a minute or two, and it comes out smooth as pudding. It is economical, we know exactly what Leah is eating, and super easy to make! I can't WAIT to explore more combinations for our little foodie as she gets older!
For anyone interested in making home made baby food, this is the site I use for ideas and guidelines. It is fabulous!!!

Darling pictures!! But I must say, it cracks me up that one sweet potato makes 22 servings for Leah when it makes TWO for Max! haha Glad your little sweet pea is taking to table food like a champ. And glad you're enjoying making it for her! You are such a good mommy <3
